How does a brake valve work?
The brake valve enables sensitive actuation of the hydraulic brake. This type of brake is controlled using a vacuum-powered brake booster and a tandem master brake cylinder. With the actuation of the brake pedal, atmospheric pressure is applied to a diaphragm via a valve. In doing so, auxiliary power can be generated by means of a pressure difference (atmospheric pressure to vacuum) that is ultimately required to achieve the desired braking effect.
