What are the benefits of a Mercedes-Benz Genuine Remanufactured diesel injection pump?

In Mercedes-Benz's range of remanufactured parts, you can quickly and easily find the right diesel injection pump for your car. With a remanufactured diesel injection pump, you benefit from Mercedes-Benz's extensive manufacturer expertise. The injection pump is remanufactured such that it offers the same level of quality as a new part.

How does a diesel injection pump work?

The pressure in the injection pump is generated by a piston driven by the engine's crankshaft. The diesel injection pump uses this pressure to pump the fuel to the injection nozzle; at the same time, it meters the fuel required for the actual injection process. To ensure that the injection pump can properly fulfill this function, various criteria should be fulfilled. The basic requirements for an intact pump are high strength, a smooth flow and a watertight housing. If one these criteria is not met, a defect is highly likely.

How can you tell if the diesel injection pump is defective?

  • Poor engine output
  • Noises emanating from the engine compartment
  • The engine starts to jolt/stutter
  • Malfunction indicator lamp lights up
  • High fuel consumption
